Astronaut, Anesthesiologist, Hollywood Film Director. Those are the things I wanted to be when I grew up. Knowing what I know now, if I had been any of those things, I would have missed out on so many opportunities to laugh, cry, and dance (badly, I might add) with my couples on one of the most important days of their lives.
If you haven't worked with me before, I'm assuming you're at the stage in the wedding planning process where you're looking through hundreds of photos, but none of them feel like you. Am I right?
When it comes to wedding photography, my approach is to capture the day as it happens. I have a few must-have shots that will be posed, but the rest of the time is yours to relax and be present.
It's winter. The fireplace is lit. The smell of freshly baked cookies makes its way from the kitchen into the living room. Your youngest grabs their favorite book, your custom Heirloom Album, off the coffee table, wobbles over to you, struggling to carry the ten-pound, hand-crafted album, and hands it to you before proceeding to crawl into your lap. You start flipping through the pages while they point at photos of themselves saying, "that me! That me!" with excitement.
