Capturing love stories is the best job in the world! I love getting to know my couples throughout the wedding planning process, but the engagement session is the first time I get to see the way they interact with each other.
Cassie & Alex first met at a trivia game night in January of 2020. They were put on the same team by mutual friends and ended up winning trivia night with their group. They hit it off, but didn’t get to spend a lot of time together because Alex was in the middle of a busy tax season. After tax season, when things started to go really well for them, the pandemic hit. Cassie’s job required her to be isolated, so they didn’t see each other for about a month. After those two big hurdles kept them apart, they knew they wanted to be together forever. They got engaged on May 30, 2021 at White Rock Mountain in Winslow, AR.
Their engagement photos were taken at their wedding venue, Willow Brooke Farm, in Huntsville, AR. This was the first time I had been out there and now I’m adding it to my list of favorite venues. It’s absolutely gorgeous! We shot Cassie’s bridal portraits first, then Alex joined us for engagement portraits and it was immediately apparent that they were made for each other.
They will be tying the knot in just over a month and I cannot wait! This wedding is going to be beautiful!
PDA photos like this one are difficult to capture because people overthink it and get awkward. Not these two. I was flowing through different prompts and sprung, “alright, now kiss,” on them and without hesitation, they gave me this magazine-worthy shot. On the first try. Not many couples can do that.
A lot of photographers won’t show you what actually goes on behind the scenes. I typically end up with as many goofy shots as I do serious ones. I always say couples sessions with me are like a fun date!

As a photographer, I find nothing more rewarding than capturing people’s memories through the lens. Senior portraits, in particular, are a great way to mark the end of a chapter in a student’s life and the beginning of a new one. Recently, I had the pleasure of taking senior portraits of Emily, a soon-to-be student […]
I’ve been photographing Zoie and her family since she was 12, so when her dad sent me a text saying she wanted me to take her senior portraits, I said, “when and where!?” We shot Zoie’s senior pictures around the Fayetteville Town Center during golden hour.
For those who don’t already know… I’m famous. That’s right, back in 1992 I was on LIVE! with Regis and Kathie Lee. Why? Because my mom is cooler than your mom. You see, I was born almost three months early and spent 60 days in Phoenix Children’s Hospital, where I wasn’t expected to live. Clearly, […]
