As a photographer, I find nothing more rewarding than capturing people’s memories through the lens. Senior portraits, in particular, are a great way to mark the end of a chapter in a student’s life and the beginning of a new one. Recently, I had the pleasure of taking senior portraits of Emily, a soon-to-be student of the University of Arkansas. We chose Old Main, one of the university’s most iconic buildings, as our location.
Old Main, with its red brick and clock tower, has been a fixture of the University of Arkansas since 1875. It has served many purposes over the years, including as a hospital during the Civil War. Today, it stands as a symbol of the university’s rich history and is a popular spot for photos.
Our photo shoot at Old Main started with Emily wearing a black dress, posing in front of the building. The natural light was perfect, casting a soft glow on her face and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere.
As the sun began to set, we made our way to the back of the building, where a lovely garden area awaited us. The photos of Emily walking along the brick path, wearing a red dress and white boots, with flowers and plants framing her, were stunning. The golden hour light was perfect, casting a warm glow on everything around us and making the colors really pop.
Overall, our photo shoot was a great success, and I am confident that these photos will be cherished by Emily and her family for years to come. If you’re a soon-to-be graduate looking to capture your own memories through senior portraits, I highly recommend the University of Arkansas campus and its iconic Old Main. As a photographer, I would be thrilled to help you capture your special moments. Please don’t hesitate to contact me for more information!

I’ve been photographing Zoie and her family since she was 12, so when her dad sent me a text saying she wanted me to take her senior portraits, I said, “when and where!?” We shot Zoie’s senior pictures around the Fayetteville Town Center during golden hour.
